Die Kustenbatterie:

As its name implies, this area is home to an impressive battery of cannon. The cannon are capable of firing a great distance down the Reik and quite a good ways up the Aver and Upper Reik. The Honourable Company of Nulner Cannon are stationed nearby and man the guns. The Imperial School of Artillery is located nearby as well, and the battery is used for advanced training. A favorite exercise is releasing dummy ships or barrels upriver on the Upper Reik and firing small cannon at them as they float past below the Burg. The cliff face bears marks of many missed shots. Lately this practice has fallen into disfavor after a yacht belonging to a local noble was mistakenly fired upon. Practice now usually takes place on Gunners Field, outside the city walls.
