Grossemarkt:

This big market district includes and serves the docks. It was enclosed with a wall at the insistence of the major merchants who feared for their warehouses and ships. The new wall joins the wall around the Grossebrucke, and is fifteen feet tall and six wide, with a battlemented walkway. It is usually patrolled by watchmen.

All river traffic which docks at Nuln does so either here or on the opposite bank in the Rechtenufer. Each bank has its own dockmaster and the two offices are not on the best of terms.

Most of the shipping goes through the Grossemarkt, though; in fact, unless the shipment is bound for the University it will unload here and be carried to the many warehouses which crowd the district. Almost all outgoing shipping goes through the Grossemarkt.

Also common here are low class lodgings, bars and such establishments which cater to rivermen as well as housing for labourers.

On the bank, by the Old Wall is a small cluster of ship builders.
